well i love holographic polish, its one  of my fav polishes to wear,
i have made a few of them, i order from tkb often, its one of the best places to order if your interested in making nail polish. so i was wounding if i would add there holo pigment to any polish.
my husband had gotten me an extra bottle of the amazonian (a dark hunter green) sinful colors gel tech polish, i was like oh man then i thought this might be a good time to try this,

 so i took

fimo- whats fimo? fimo nail art

What is fimo?  I get asked this question a lot, so i wanted to do a short blog on it,
fimo is a clay rolled into very small sticks. these sticks are then cut up in to small slices,
each one is different, once cut they can be applied to the nail with nail glue or just placed in wet polish.
some people put them in glitter mixes, fimo also can be placed in gel that needs to cure in uv or led,
you can order fimo in slices or in sticks, there are many places to order them.
so here is a few pics showing how to cut fimo and place on the nail with just wet polish,

so you need to take your razor blade and slice the fimo in to thin slices
pardon my fuzzy fingers it just cotton but here is a good slice of the fimo
then you need to apply a topcoat to your nail
then place your fimo on the nail in the wet topcoat, if the fimo starts to curl or bend  use a pair of tweezers or a toothpick and hold it down on the nail for a min

then apply top coat again , and let dry

this is  what it should look like,
fimo can be used for many thing other then just nail art , if you would like to order fimo  check out ebay,
aliexpress is another good place

polish addict- 2 polishes from polish addicts

I love indie polishes as many of you know,
but one of my fav polish companies is  polish addicts
so i did a small haul the other day and my order came in so fast.
so lets take a look at the polish

this is  cupcakes and sprinkles. the application for this polish was easy , i applied 2 coats
this crelly polish is amazing.

and here is the glitter topper 50 shades of grey, i just love this polish, its got lots of dots and so many pretty glitters, the application was great - 2 coats as shown in the photo

all dried up, don't throw away that dried up nail polish, how to fix an old dried up nail polish

Have you ever had a nail polish that was just yuck and said well i guess its time to throw that away?
I know i have and then i found a diy post on a facebook page about not throwing away the polish, I really did not think it would work,  i never did this before. well i ordered a few polishes off ebay, it was a lot of polish for 12.00 and i had to have it cause there was a sally hassan magical nail polish in it,  so i got it and waited for the box to come, all the polishes were great, with the exception of 1 polish this was a orange polish  from remmel. it looked so pretty i just  did not want to trash it,thinking oh no i am going to have to throw this away. Then i remembered the  diy project, i figured i would give it a try. so here are a few pics of the bottle before

so the first thing i did was grab my polish thinner,
you can get polish thinner at sally's beauty supply
then i grabbed a bottle of clear nail polish,
and one tooth pick and one stainless steel ball for mixing,

i added about 1/2 of the bottle of clear nail polish,
then i added about 1/2 teaspoon of polish thinner,
i dropped the stainless steel ball in the the goopy  polish,
I then took the toothpick and tried to move some of the dry  polish to the bottom,
i then placed the cap back on and left it sit for about 2 hours,
i mixed the (by shaking) bottle and again let it sit for another 2 hours,
went and began shaking the bottle , i did this a few more times, and after about 24 hours the polish looked amazing, like it was perfect.
as you can see the rim of the bottle you can see dry polish all flaking off,
however the polish is now a liquid and not dry at all

here is a swatch on my thumb nail to show you.
this polish is from rimmel its 835 va va voom
its a shimmer orange polish
i did find  it on ebay .
i do know this is an older bottle of polish,
hope you all enjoyed this diy
